It's pretty clear that folks these days can't hardly agree on anything, but if there's one thing I think we can agree on, it's that we're sick and tired of the snow and freezing cold. I haven't even seen kids building snowmen or sledding with this most recent snow.

I guess we were due for some snow this winter since it seems like it's been a good ten years or so -- maybe back to the blizzard of '93 -- that I can remember much of a winter.

Moving along, there's some interesting stuff going on as part of the political scene.

CNN is touting a poll that says America doesn't deserve to be re-elected (link here), while some of the liberal folks are spinning the Evan Bayh news as just another Congressman moving along to get a fat salary as a lobbyist (link here).

I'm not the most edu-ma-cated man in the world -- I did just graduate from UT, where football certainly over-rides academic standards -- but I'm betting that a lot of this very ugly political fighting will soon be transferred to our very own county. There are going to be some ferocious races in Anderson County this year, and as a reminder, these are based on party identification, while in Oak Ridge, you can't run as a member of a party.

Fasten your seat belts. It should be fun. And it will certainly beat complaining about the snow and how cold it is. Well, maybe not...
